Copyright disputes often arise between parties who may have interest in a particular work for example between an author and a publisher, or between a script writer and movie producer. Our doors are open to all stakeholders who may want to settle a dispute amicably through alternative dispute resolution (ADR) rather than through the formal court system. To enjoy this service, the rightsholder must petition the Copyright Administrator and pay the prescribed fee. A party that is dissatisfied with the outcome of the mediation may proceed to court.
